Ophthalmology at CISME

Assessing your vision and what is happening in your eyes.

Back to specialties

Ophthalmology deals with vision problems and eye diseases. The consultation involves examining your eyes, reviewing the changes you have noticed and deciding whether treatment or follow-up is needed.

Diagnostic consultations and reviews are conducted in CISME. Interventions requiring an external centre are organized as indicated by the medical team.

Practical information

Before your eyes are checked

  • Bring your glasses, previous reports and the names of any eye drops you use.
  • Tell me what change you've noticed, since when and whether it affects one or both eyes.
  • Mention conditions such as diabetes and any relevant eye-related medical history.
  • Check whether the planned examination requires preparation or may temporarily affect your vision.
A sudden loss of vision requires urgent attention; do not wait for a scheduled review.

Next step

Check your vision and eye health.

Ask for an Ophthalmology consultation. The center will tell you if you need any preparation for the visit.
