Nutritionist

Clara González García

Clinical and sports nutrition translates what we know about food into decisions you can put into practice. Body composition, performance and long-term health, with follow-up grounded in your daily life.

Clara González García

Clara has worked in clinical and sports nutrition since 2011. Her experience covers overweight, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver, lipid disorders and digestive conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).

She combines both perspectives to support body composition, preserve muscle and strength and build sustainable habits. The aim is to improve health and maintain the ability to do what matters at every stage of life.

Training and qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics — Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
  • Degree in Food Science and Technology (Licenciatura) — Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
  • Master's in Anthropology and Human Biodiversity (inter-university) — studied at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.
  • ISAK level 2 anthropometrist.

Her education combines nutrition, food technology and human anthropology, complemented by continuing training in metabolism, body composition and applied clinical evidence.

Professional background

2011

Start in clinical and sports nutrition

Care in consultation and work with athletes: food education, metabolic health, body composition and food adapted to training and performance.

2014

Gastrointestinal disease

Progressive specialisation in IBS, SIBO and fatty liver. Clinical protocols with monitoring of relevant markers.

2022

Functional longevity

Combining sport and clinical nutrition: muscle mass, strength, circadian habits and healthspan as a goal.

Areas of work

  • Overweight and body composition: monitoring of muscle mass and fat, in addition to weight.
  • Sports nutrition: diet adapted to the different stages of training, performance and recovery.
  • Nutrition for digestive conditions such as IBS and SIBO.
  • Metabolic syndrome, fatty liver and lipid disorders.
  • Habits and functional longevity: muscle, strength and long-term metabolic health.

An approach that connects sport and health

Clara is an ISAK level 2 anthropometrist. Her body composition assessments combine bioimpedance using the Tanita MC-780 with anthropometry, including body measurements and complete anthropometric profiles following the ISAK protocol.

This follow-up tracks changes in the body and guides adjustments to the nutrition plan. Her sports nutrition experience connects this assessment with diet tailored to training load, performance and recovery.

Functional longevity extends that look: in addition to diet, it takes into account strength, sleep, stress and daily rhythms. It is about caring for health and functional capacity with habits that fit into real life.

Approach to practice

Understand your starting point

Check what you eat, what you need, and what difficulties appear in your week, along with your activity and your habits.

Develop a realistic plan

Translate the target to meals, quantities and alternatives adapted to your week and, where appropriate, to the different stages of training.

Review and adjust

Assess changes in body composition, available markers and performance where relevant, alongside how you feel. Follow-up allows us to adjust the plan to sustain changes.
